Each year, Tri-Lakes Cares helps our neighbors celebrate the season with comfort and joy. Through our Giving Tree and Holiday Meals programs, we ensure that local families can share gifts, food, and togetherness — without added financial stress. Whether you’re looking to give help or receive help, you’re part of the heart of this community.
How the Giving Tree Program Works
The Giving Tree Program is a holiday gift program by Tri‑Lakes Cares that connects generous donors with local families in need. You can sponsor a child, teen, or senior and help bring warmth, dignity, and joy during the holiday season. Each ornament represents a real person in our community — someone who could use a little extra light this time of year. Your gift reminds them they’re not alone.
Families Register with TLC
Eligible neighbors provide gift wish lists for children (0–17) and seniors in their household.
Donors Select Ornament
Community members, businesses, and faith groups can pick ornaments representing individuals and their holiday wishes. Gifts and gift cards are requested to be a $25 value.
Donors Purchase Gifts or Gift Cards
Donors shop for the requested gift or gift card and return items to Tri-Lakes Cares (Mon-Thurs 9 am - 5 pm) by Dec. 9th. Please bring the item or gift card UNWRAPPED with the ORIGINAL ORNAMENT.
TLC Distributes the Gifts
Our team ensures every gift received between Oct 28 and Dec 9 reaches the intended family (based on the ornament code) — just in time to brighten the holidays.

Distribution Dates – Dec 16 and Dec 18, 2025

Shop for a Gift
Pick up a Giving Tree Ornament in person and shop for a child or senior. Return the unwrapped gift or gift card with the original ornament by Dec 9th, and we will deliver in time for the holidays.

Holiday Meals
Our Holiday Meals Program offsets holiday stress by offering food for both Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
Through this popular program, TLC provides the ingredients for families to prepare their own festive meal at home. Each package includes pantry staples and grocery store gift cards. Families can choose the main dish that fits their family and their tradition.
