The Giving Tree Program

About the Program Giving Tree Locations
Every year, Tri-Lakes Cares teams up with groups in our local community to provide gifts to children and senior citizens through our Giving Tree Gift Program. We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our supporters and we have plenty of groups who are hosting a Giving Tree gift tree this year. You will be able to select an ornament and purchase the wished for gifts for either a child or a senior citizen.

There is, however, a growing need for food during the holiday season as well – especially for the specialty items needed for a holiday meal. Sharing a holiday meal with loved ones is one of the greatest ways to celebrate the season and spend time with family, but this is not always possible in food-insecure households. Tri-Lakes Cares wants to make this a possibility for our clients to enjoy!

This great need within our community has opened up an opportunity for your group or business to participate in the Giving Tree program! We invite you to consider hosting a Giving Tree Holiday Food Program tree and encourage your staff, patrons and neighbors to help collect food for those in need this holiday season!

Tri-Lakes Cares will provide you with paper ornaments to place on your tree. Each ornament displays a written request for holiday food items or a gift card that will be used to purchased the items at a local grocery store. Your patrons can choose an ornament from the tree, purchase the requested items or gift card and return them to your location. A Tri-Lakes Cares volunteer will come and pickup the food and/or gift cards which will then be distributed to our clients in a bag containing all the ingredients for a holiday meal! It’s an easy way to make a huge difference for a family in need!

Please contact Tammy Maxwell at (719) 481-4864, x 106 if you would like to host a Giving Tree Holiday Food Program tree, or if you have any questions regarding the Giving Tree program.
