  Thank you to all of our donors and volunteers who made
our Thanksgiving Holiday Food Collection and Basket Distribution so successful!!

We were able to provide 170 households, impacting 452 individuals, will all the fixin’s for the perfect Thanksgiving holiday meal.

Thank you to Monument Hill Kiwanis for helping to organize the Harvest of Love food drive in District 38. Without the members of the club, the organization, the pickup and delivery of all the food would not have been possible.
Thank you to District 38 for supporting the Harvest of Love food drive! Much of the food collected during the month-long effort in October is used for the holiday food baskets. Over 17,000 lbs of food was collected and generous cash donations.

Thank you to all those who held turkey drives and holiday food drives!

  • Care and Share: Turkeys and turkey roasts from their “Take a Turkey To Work” Day event
  • Cooper Ciesielski: Worked with 14U AAA Rampage Hockey and Advisors Asset Management to collect 70 turkeys
  • DECA/Palmer Ridge High School: Organized by McKenna G, they hosted a special “Buy It Forward” event at King Soopers (Baptist Road) to stock the pantry with holiday food and gift cards
  • DePuy Synthes (Johnson & Johnson)
  • Discovery Canyon High School: the students held a “trick or treat for canned foods” event
  • Family of Christ Lutheran Church: donated 54 pre-filled Thanksgiving bags
  • Girl Scout Troop Service Unit 16: provided 73 lbs of homemade baked goodies
  • JW Wheaton Team: Held an appreciation event for their clients and invited them to bring non-perishable food items
  • Lisa Hernandez: hosted a baking / holiday food drive
  • Monument Hill Church: Youth group hosted a holiday food drive and brought in over 200 lbs
  • Northgate Family Chiropractic: Hosted a “healthy and natural food” drive
  • Palmer Lake Pub: Collected food at a Saturday concert
  • PetSmart (Monument): 200 stuffed animals to bring joy to kids and seniors alike
  • Prairie Winds Elementary School Annual Turkey Trot: a special event held in November to raise money for turkeys
  • Safeway/Monument: Donated 30 turkeys with sides
  • Tri-Lakes Cruisers: Brought in nearly 400 lbs of turkeys

And thank you also to all the anonymous donors, volunteers and staff who dropped off turkeys and other food donations the weeks prior to distribution.

Of course, we couldn’t do it without all the volunteers who helped to sort, shelve, pack the food bags, and helped with distribution.
