Hangers opened in June of 2009 to provide Tri-Lakes Cares with a steady source of income to help fund the services it provides, and to provide TLC with a resource for items that our clients may need.  The Hangers Thrift Shop is open to the general public.  The shop’s location is 245 Jefferson St., Monument, Colorado, next door to the TLC building.

Hangers sells gently used women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, purses, as well as household items including linens, dishes, utensils, pictures, rugs, kitchen electronics, lamps, books, compact discs, and a fine array of “knick-knacks”.

The community has donated everything for sale at Hangers.  The thrift shop operates with the asistance of over thirty volunteers.  All proceeds from Hangers benefits TLC’s operations.

Tri-Lakes Cares often offers a discount coupon for the Hangers shop through the community newspaper and a monthly eMail eBlast.  (The eBlast is another communication TLC uses to communicate to news and events to the community.)

Susan’s Closet at Hangers

Susan's Closet is a "Wardrobe-to-Work Program" offered by Hangers, the Tri-Lakes Cares thrift shop located in downtown Monument.  The program outfits women for job interviews and, once hired, provides a mix and match wardrobe to wear on-the-job.  Volunteer wardrobe consultants are available to offer advice about dressing for work.

Hangers Hours of Operation

Hangers is open Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Donations are also accepted between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on these days.  When you donate to Hangers you donate to Tri-Lakes Cares.  Tax donation receipts are provided for each donation.
