Holiday Gift Tags
Thanks very much for considering making tags for our community giving trees. If you have a certain number of hours to fulfill for a community service project, we ask that you work on this project for the required hours. We will gladly sign your 'hours sheet' when you drop your tags by Tri-Lakes Cares. Please call 481-4864, ext 22 with any questions.
• you may use the fronts of old holiday cards (no religious images please as we are a community based non-profit). Just cut out the image or cut a neat 3.5 inch square OR
• you may find an appropriate clip art image on the internet (final tags should measure about 3 1/2 inches square). Christmas balls or stockings or trees work well. Our gift chair will be gluing a typed holiday request on the back).
• You may also trace an appropriate cookie cutter (like a gingerbread man)
• Use card stock (colored is fine) or 4X6 unlined index cards. You may decorate but please NO GLITTER.
• Cut out your image or the front of a card, punch a hole in the top, and thread a ribbon or yarn through the hole so that it may be hung on a tree.
We will need these by early November
Thank You So Much
Holiday Adoptions for Giving Tree
Adoption Guidelines -
When 'adopting' a child from Tri-Lakes Cares for the Children's Holiday Gift Program please provide the following items for each child you adopt:
* One complete outfit if requested
* One pair of shoes of the child's choice if indicated on the wish list
* One new winter coat if requested
* Two - three new toys in keeping with their likes or requests as indicated on the wish list (we encourage the parents to put at least one thing back for their birthday)
* One book
* Optional: Music and an inexpensive MP3 player or a CD player if requested and they are over the age of 11
We encourage families to put many choices on the list to make it easier to make a complete gift box. We inform families that all items on the list will not be purchased or donated.
Items should be boxed or bagged together with the child number attached. Adoptions can be by an individual and/or a group.
We are most grateful to you or your group for considering this donation.

Financial Donations
We are always grateful for financial donations. Our emergency financial programs (rent, utilities, childcare, and medical to name a few) depend on the generous support of this community. Our operations, including administration and maintenance of our new building also depends on this generosity. Regular and predictable donations help us budget for each year. Spontaneous donations and sometimes make a lean month easier. We encourage donations to special programs if that is desired.
Our executive director is happy to discuss our needs with you and is available for tours of our building and programs.
